Hi, I'm Ishan! This site was setup to document my technical efforts and for me to share my thoughts. ### About me I'm currently in my senior year, double majoring in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. I am still trying to figure out what I *really, really, really* want to work on. I like aerospace, robotics, ee, and software. Whatever I do will probably be in one of these areas. Currently, I am focused on becoming an excellent engineer and going *deeeeeep* into subjects. I enjoy depth and think a lot of things become possible once you gain depth. I am looking for hard problems to work on. If you think I'd be a fit as an engineer as part of your team, feel free to reach out to me via X DMs. At some point, I'd like to start my own company (but ONLY IF starting a company is the best way to solve any given problem). ### Work - **Currently working @ Google, as part of the Google Kubernetes Engine org in Seattle, WA.** - Lots of Golang! - **Worked on software and firmware @ Tesla** - I worked as part of the Low Voltage Systems and Body Controls System Validation team. - My main project involved automatic detection of exterior lighting states on all of Tesla's vehicular platforms - Towards the end of my co-op, I also laid the foundation of a new vehicle performance profiling feature, to be used by other engineers in the firmware org. - **Software engineering intern at a smart lock start-up** - In two separate terms, I worked on the end-to-end engineering of their system validation framework - **Worked on racing cars for a bit** - Here, I engineered a PCB for our combustion car. The PCB detected the current gear state of the vehicle. - I also wrote some firmware (regrettably in Python) for display systems attached to the steering wheel.
